    RE middle schoolers score top finishes at National History Bee and Bowl

    Ransom Everglades sent 30 students and five history bowl teams – the most of any school – to the National History and Geography Middle School Bee and Bowl in Orlando over Memorial Day weekend. RE’s history and geography teams earned top-10 finishes as 2,000 students from around the nation competed in a range of events.

    Class of 2029 sent up to the upper school

    The Class of 2029 was “sent up” to the upper school during an evening event at the Lewis Family Auditorium that featured a class roll call, special awards and student performances. The eighth graders said goodbye to their middle school days on May 30 as more than two dozen awards were presented, interspersed with performances by the eighth-grade strings ensemble, the advanced band, a musical theatre group and a poetry recitation.

  • RE sailing team at the 2025 Mallory national championship

    RE sailing earns third place in the nation

    For the first time in Ransom Everglades history, the RE sailing team finished on the podium at the 2025 Mallory national championship – the Interscholastic Sailing Association Fleet Nationals. After two days of racing, 20 races and challenging conditions, Griggs Diemar '25, Elisa de Becker '28, Tommy Zaydon '28, Sebastian van de Kreeke '25, Sofia Rhone-Fernandez '26, Ava McAliley '26 and Leyla Amjad '26 finished third, securing the bronze medal in a close competition on the Thames River at Connecticut College.

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida. Ransom Everglades School produces graduates who "believe that they are in the world not so much for what they can get out of it as for what they can put into it." The school provides rigorous college preparation that promotes the student's sense of identity, community, personal integrity and values for a productive and satisfying life, and prepares the student to lead and to contribute to society.
