Saint Saviour High School Sports 2024-2025

Click here for the 2024 Fall Sports Tryout Dates.
A fee of $300 is due for each sport played, except for Cheerleading and Swim, which are $325 each. Please make checks payable to Saint Saviour High School and bring to the office once you make the team. You can also pay the fee online by clicking here.

Student-athletes cannot participate in two (2) sports during the same season. If the seasons overlap, the athlete will complete the season for the first sport and try out for the second sport.

Athletic History and Honors

  • The 2023-24 Varsity Basketball Team placed 2nd in the Tier 4 GCHSAA Championship Game.
  • The 2022-23 Varsity Booster Team placed 3rd in the GCHSAA Step Competition. 
  • Hannah Flanders '25 received the Marianne Noonan Sportsmanship Award for Basketball. She also received All-League honors for Tier 3 Basketball.
  • Brianna Kenny '19 received the Marianne Noonan Sportsmanship Award for Basketball.
  • Teresa Kiernan ’19, Shannon McLoughlin ’19, Alexandra Salvatierra ’19 and Julianna Pecoraro ’22 made the 2018 NYC "B" All League Team for Soccer.
  • Janina Pelaez '18 made the 2018 NYC Mayor's Cup All-Star Softball Team.
  • Lauren Regan made the 2018 New York State Sportswriters Assocation All-State Basketball Team for the B Division.
  • The 2017-18 Varsity Booster Team placed 2nd in the GCHSAA Step Competition.
  • The 2017-18 Varsity Cheerleading Team placed 3rd in the CHSAA State Championships.
  • The 2017-18 Varsity Basketball Team placed 1st in the B Division and won the B Division League Championship.
  • Aisha Micourt was awarded the 2017-18 John Moran Sportsmanship Award.
  • The 2017 Varsity Volleyball Team was undefeated in the regular season and won the Championship for the B Division. They were undefeated all season never losing one set, setting a new league record! They also played in the B Division City Championship game (placing 2nd out of 17 teams in NYC).
  • The 2017 JV Volleyball Team won 2nd place in the B Division.
  • Meghan McGinn '17 made the 2017 NYC Mayor's Cup All-Star Softball Team.
  • Varsity Basketball players earned Tablet ‘B’ First Team honors: Lauren Duggan'17 and ‘B’ Second Team honors: Megan McGinn '17, Brianna Kenny '19 and Allison Ryan '19. 
  • Lauren Duggan made the 2017 NYC Mayor's Cup All-Star Basketball Team.
  • The 2016-17 Cheerleading Squad won 3rd place in the GCHSAA Competition.
  • The 2016 Varsity Volleyball Team played in the City Championship for the B Division.
  • Grace Sullivan made the 2016 NYC Mayor's Cup All-Star Softball Team.
  • St. Saviour's 2016 Varsity Softball Team won the championship for the Brooklyn-Queens CHSAA "A" Division and the Varsity A City Championship.
  • The 2015-16 Cheerleading Squad won 2nd place in the GCHSAA Competition.
  • Meghan McGinn was awarded the 2015-16 Theresa Whitty Sportsmanship Award.
  • St. Saviour’s 2015 Varsity Softball Team placed 2nd in the Brooklyn-Queens CHSAA “A” Division for the 2nd year in a row.
  • Natalie Gil made the 2015 NYC Mayor’s Cup All-Star Softball Team.
  • Denise Trerotola was awarded the 2015 Sportsmanship Award for Basketball.
  • St. Saviour’s 2014-15 Varsity Swim Team placed 5th in 2015 GCHSAAA Championship Meet.
  • Swimmer, Mariah Jenkins competed in the Junior Olympics in 2016.
  • Swimmer, Caroline Adams was named to the Junior Olympic Team for 2014-15 and 2015-16.
  • Briana Vega was awarded the Career Achievement Award for Swimming.
  • St. Saviour’s 2015 Varsity Volleyball Team played in the very first New York City “B” Championship match.
  • Katie O’Donnell and Sarah Pender made the 2015 NYC Mayor’s Cup All-Star Soccer Team.
  • St. Saviour’s 2015 Soccer Team finished the season 6-3-2 and earned a spot in the Brooklyn-Queens Class A girls’ soccer championship.
  • St. Saviour’s 2014 Varsity Softball Team placed 2nd in the Brooklyn-Queens CHSAA “A” Division.
  • St. Saviour’s 2013-14 Swim Team won the “B” Dual Meet Championship.
  • Briana Vega was named the league’s Most Valuable Swimmer for 2013-14.
  • Swimmers, Briana Vega and Caroline Adams were named to the Junior Olympic Team for 2013-14.
  • St. Saviour’s 2012-13 Swim Team placed 2nd in the CHSAA Swimming “B’ Dual Meet.
  • St. Saviour’s 2012-13 Boosters placed 3rd in the Brooklyn-Queens Diocesan Cheer & Step Competition.
  • St. Saviour’s varsity basketball team captured the 2010-11 Brooklyn/Queens Diocese B-Division Championship by defeating Fontbonne. This is the third time St. Saviour has won the championship in the past six seasons.
  • St. Saviour’s varsity softball team destroyed its competition, losing only one game in the entire 2011 season before handily defeating Bishop Ford in the title game.  The victory earned St. Saviour its first ever Brooklyn/Queens Diocese B-Division Softball Championship.
  • Not to be outdone, the 2010 St. Saviour Tennis Team also captured the school’s first-ever Brooklyn/Queens Diocese B-Division Tennis Championship.  The tennis team then capped-off its stellar season by reaching the 2010 NY State AA Finals.  So dominating was the St. Saviour’s tennis team that one of its members won every match during the season until she reached the AA Finals.
