We offer financial aid and several tuition payment options and plans to help you afford a Phelps education.
Phelps Tuition
Tuition for both boarding students and day students covers:
- Academic courses
- On-campus events
- Standard health center services with the school physician
- College counseling services
- Daily afternoon tutorial program
- Community service trips
- Some school activities
- Some athletic equipment
Boarding Student Tuition
Boarding student tuition includes additional benefits such as:
- Room and board
- Daily meals in our dining hall
- Evening proctored study hall
Day Student Tuition
Day student tuition includes:
- On-campus events
- Lunch every weekday in our dining hall

Initial Tuition Deposits
The non-refundable tuition deposit is due upon the execution of the enrollment agreement and will be applied toward tuition.
Boarding deposit............................$5,000
Day deposit.....................................$3,000
International deposit....................$10,000
Payment Plans
- One payment: Full payment due by July 1
- Two payment option: 60% due by July 1 and 40% due by December 1 (Note: Not available to students with F-1 Visas)
- Monthly payment option: Monthly starting May 15 – February 15*
Tuition Refund Plan (TRP)
The enrollment contract is binding after execution. Parents can purchase the Tuition Refund Plan to protect against an instance in which their son needs to withdraw from Phelps, and the family would face no refund of tuition. The plan provides for the refund of a portion of the pro-rated unused tuition. The non-refundable cost of tuition insurance is the equivalent of 6% of tuition.
