選Offer 請(qǐng)教各位老師，孩子拿到了Loomis和Milton兩所學(xué)校的offer, 對(duì)學(xué)校環(huán)境都挺滿意，現(xiàn)在對(duì)交通問題也沒有特別的在意。主要是關(guān)心兩個(gè)方面： 1、中國護(hù)照學(xué)生的美本升學(xué)走向，哪個(gè)更好些？ 2、孩子喜歡編程，學(xué)過C++, Python, Java等等。將來想學(xué)計(jì)算機(jī)方向。這兩個(gè)學(xué)校相比之下那所更強(qiáng)一些？ 謝謝老師們！ ( 2個(gè)offer )

選Offer 10升11，有兩所offer，Emma Willard和Milton。個(gè)人更偏向于Milton。不過今天看了學(xué)校的網(wǎng)站跟social pages，感覺真的很overwhelming，也是因?yàn)?1年級(jí)轉(zhuǎn)學(xué)，怕難適應(yīng)，申請(qǐng)的時(shí)候是DIY，老師們推薦如何做準(zhǔn)備工作? 特別是課外活動(dòng), 領(lǐng)導(dǎo)boards位子應(yīng)該很難拿吧，對(duì)申請(qǐng)T20會(huì)有很大影響嗎? ( 2個(gè)offer )

別猶豫，該提交。 第一，單說SSAT成績，2310分還是不錯(cuò)的，申請(qǐng)這些學(xué)校——即便”頂級(jí)“，也并非非得滿分才行。你在后續(xù)的面試、文書環(huán)境，以及你的課外活動(dòng)都能充分展示、并補(bǔ)充這個(gè)。因此，不必投鼠忌器。 第二，許多頂級(jí)美高，明確要去SSAT。我逐家統(tǒng)計(jì)過，F(xiàn)S的T30、A+級(jí)美高，約20%必須要SSAT或ISEE。沒有——是不給申請(qǐng)的。 第三，即便有的說test optional，也別會(huì)錯(cuò)意、信以為真。只是他們真實(shí)的意思依然是——”嚴(yán)重推薦“，strongly recommended 或 encouraged。因此，千萬別被表象迷惑，真就TEST OPTIONAL啦（過幾天我會(huì)給出一家家美高的仔細(xì)分析，看看到底這optional是真的否）。 第四，今年申請(qǐng)，美國已經(jīng)大致正常。絕大多數(shù)人都有，你為什么沒有？ 以下，是頂尖美高格羅頓中學(xué)招辦的公開說明，望你認(rèn)真閱讀、仔細(xì)揣摩、深刻領(lǐng)會(huì)（鏈接：https://www.groton.org/admission/how-to-apply）： Groton School requires applicants to submit standardized test results. For entry in 2021 and 2022, this requirement was suspended because of health concerns at testing sites. Standardized test results are one of many factors that help admission offices determine whether or not a school is a good fit for an applicant. Transcripts, recommendations, test results, and the Candidate Statement are all important in assessing an application. Without test results, great applicants may be overlooked. When admission counselors are unfamiliar with an applicant's school, test results help to contextualize an application. Testing helps us fulfill one of our primary objectives: enrolling a diverse and talented student body. Some see standardized testing as a barrier preventing access to a great education. We see testing as a means to overcome barriers such as incomplete recommendations and grade inflation. Standardized testing helps applicants from many different backgrounds become students at Groton School. Through the years, the majority of admitted applicants have submitted test scores that are quite strong, but this is certainly not true for everyone. Test scores are evaluated with consideration of each applicant's educational background. They are only one of many factors considered in an application to Groton.

您好！Milton是有9年級(jí)和10年級(jí)的走讀申請(qǐng)，9-11年級(jí)有寄宿申請(qǐng)。但是除特殊情況外，學(xué)生是不允許改變走讀或者寄宿program，因此在申請(qǐng)的時(shí)候需要確定好。

您好： 就標(biāo)化成績和GPA 來看，選校有點(diǎn)兒懸，建議重新考慮選校，而且沖刺，匹配和保底要拉開一些檔次。
